Meet the WIP Team
Sarah Roberts created WIP with the desire to connect artists to their true potential through community. As a photographer, concentrating on instant film and environmental portraiture, Roberts recognized the importance of creating a safe space for fellow artists and performers to express their individual passions. She hopes WIP will expand as far as its able to encourage as many artists as possible that their work matters and has a place to be seen and heard.
Director of Operations
Christina Gomes is a creative writer for WIP. You’ll most often find her smiling and/or eating. She is also an avid fan of hugs. Featured items on her bucket list: visiting all seven continents, becoming a professor, and owning a pet fox. In Christina’s free time, she’s visiting as many of NYC’s glorious museums as possible, or binge-watching Netflix while surrounded by snacks.
Director of Communications
Tanisha Parker is a creative writer for WIP. She believes that art comes from the soul. She believes that creativity is born when one stops thinking and starts feeling. Tanisha joined WIP to encourage artists to step out of their comfort zones so that the world can share in their emotions. She brings her charismatic attitude as well as her YOLO ideology to bring more artists to the WIP community as a content creator for WIP.
Aaron Wade is WIP's graphic and poster designer. Raised on oldies music, classic art and pop culture, Wade was bred to live the life of a visual artist. Along with providing unique content for WIP, Wade is a professional screen printer. His work focuses on portraits, particularly the female form as it relates to his south western upbringing.
Performing Arts Director
Marcello Ritondo is WIP's resident DJ. Along with curating great vibes every month, he expands his personal portfolio, spins every Wednesday night in Brooklyn, and performs at various events. A few of his idols include Neil deGrasse Tyson, Keith Haring, and Larry Levan.
Joel A. Mitchell
Digital Media Producer
Joel A. Mitchell is WIP's social media guru. Mitchell originally hails from Australia where his love of film and television came from a young age when he was often sat in front of the T.V. to keep him from trying to ride the family dog like a horse. As filmmaker, nerd, facial hair enthusiast and amateur astronaut, Joel loves all aspects of film but predominantly works towards his career as a screenwriter.
